Euroins Insurance Group has completely withdrawn from business in Russia and Belarus
03.01.2023
Euroins Insurance Group (EIG), a member of the public holding Eurohold Bulgaria (represented in Ukraine by two insurance companies – Euroins Ukraine and European Travel Insurance), has signed an agreement to sell its subsidiary in Belarus and a stake in the company in Russia.
Thus, EIG has completely exited the business in Russia and Belarus. "The sale of the shares in both companies is part of our strategy to focus only on key markets with good growth potential," said Kiril Boshov, Chairman of the Management Board of Eurohold.
EIG maintains its existing stakes in insurance companies in other countries of the region – Ukraine and Georgia.
As previously reported, in March 2022, EIG limited its activities in Russia to the lowest possible level, not supporting Euroins Russia with capital, reinsurance resources or any other type of financial support.
